Scholarships for entrepreneurial students who need financial assistance to get to college — and who have shown exceptional promise in business.

The students who apply for these scholarships are not looking for a handout. They are looking for a chance — a first step that makes the next one possible. Many of them are working while they study, supporting their families, navigating systems that were never designed with them in mind. A scholarship does not just pay a bill. It tells a student that someone who does not know them personally believes they are worth investing in. That message matters as much as the money.

Monthly Recurring Gift
A monthly contribution — even a small one — creates a steady, reliable source of funding that allows us to plan ahead and award more scholarships each cycle. Recurring donors are the backbone of this fund. Your gift compounds over time, and so does its impact.
Annual Year-End Gift
An end-of-year contribution is one of the most tax-efficient ways to give. Donations made before December 31st are tax-deductible, and many donors find that an annual gift fits naturally into their financial planning. Give once a year — and change a student's trajectory permanently.
Name a Scholarship
You can establish a scholarship in the name of someone you love — a parent, a grandparent, a mentor, a friend. You set the guidelines and the student profile you want to support. You can choose to fund your scholarship at whatever continued giving pace works for you. And, you may choose to be part of the applicant-selection committee yourself.
How a Named Scholarship Works
When you establish a named scholarship with El Genio de los Latinos, you are creating something permanent — a legacy that outlasts any single gift. Here is what you control:
- The name of the scholarship and who it honors
- The student profile you want to support (field of study, background, financial need, etc.)
- The application essay prompt, if you wish to personalize it
- Whether you participate in selecting the recipient
- The pace and structure of your giving
